Clean the dirt rather than Avoding it !

I have been deeply saddened by the fact that many of us who are well educated, well knowledge d and cogent enough to distinguish between the right and the wrong still don't do what is believed to be right. Let it be payment of taxes, mediating the funds, submission of bills for avoiding tax ,following traffic rules or any other rules laid by the Govt. Hardly any follow the rules unless he/she is seriously monitored or regulated.
We blame politicians for their being very rich by gobbling up lots of public funds , but how different are we?
Everyone steals as much as they can till they are caught. When confronted with questions such as - " Why are you not paying proper taxes .? Or
why are you putting HRA more than actual ?" harsh retorts like - " Are you trying to be a Gandhi ? " have to be faced.
Some justify that they don't believe the system and hence don't adhere to it. This has become a very common feeling and justification for our mis-deeds.
Well ! we form the system and again we break the system yet still depending a lot on the same system. One has to know that we constitute the System and system becomes strong if we all individually become righteous.
I completely agree to the fact that a stricter efficient and effective system ( so called ideal system which can hardly exist ) is very much required to ensure a proper governance but one has to understand that its only US who can make it strong/weak. Lets don't blame the system or some group of politicians ,rather try to change it starting with YOU!.
